My little secret

.... is finally out!
I'm guest DT member for Scrap 'n' Crazy this month... woohoo....
So here are my creations for Chelle...

This was a little Christmas recipe book I did using the Cosmo Cricket range... just gorgeous!

The Christmas photo shoot... lol

Yeh.. ok... it's not a Christmas layout... but I have used Christmas papers... just goes to show you can use the papers for layouts other than Christmas ones...

And of course... more Christmas cards!

So if you want to see the other DT creations head on over to SNC!

So what else has been happening....
Well Jenny at Really Just Ribbons has got in the Heidi Swapp ribbons... I have a fairly good collection of these (of course!) and they are just absolutely gorgeous...

And also Shelley at Scrapbooking 4 Less has just uploaded a heap of new papers... I might have to go shopping... just because I'm not meant to be buying anything atm is beside the point... honest.... I wonder how I can sneak it into the house.... lol... just don't tell Danny will you?

Ok and I've finally got around to drawing the winners of the Pay It Forward... now don't go blaming me... cause there were 3 names to be drawn, I got the boys to draw one each... Nicholas drew Shazz... Kristofer drew Bek and Jonthan drew Tammy. So girls if you want to email me your address I will get something made for you and posted off.
And don't forget to pay it forward....

Have yourselves a wonderful weekend... I had better go get some housework done!

Saturday 1 December 2007

It's Christmas time....

Yes Christmas is nearly here and now I can share with you some of my Christmas creations I did for Jenny over at Really Just Ribbons...

Jenny sent us an absolutely gorgeous pack this month, full to the brim with Christmas ribbons and some of the Kaiser Craft OTP stuff.

So this first one is the Christmas Countdown Tree I did. I covered it in Kaiser Craft paper and then used some of the ribbon on it. It has a pocket on the back to hold the extra numbers. And it's even got bling just cause it's Christmas!

The next project is a Christmas Tree Hanger. I decided I would use it to hold 3 tag for the boys to write their Christmas wishes on. I can then use these tags each year to create a layout... Do you think that was good thinking.... That way my journalling is already done for me....

Both the hanger and the countdown tree have been sealed with a glitter sealer. I love the look of this because it gives it that sparkly look just suited for Christmas.

And here is the layout that goes with the tags from the Christmas Hanger. This one hasn't been written on yet, so I will have to get Kristofer to do that for me.

And if you want to know where I got the flourish from..... well it was cut on the Klic-n-Kut... along with the title... I'm beginning to really love this machine!

And what would Christmas be without a few Christmas cards....

I'm not a very good card maker but I'm learning.... lol

So that's all for now... but I do have a lot more projects to take pics off sometime today and share.

and..... I also have a little secret I will be able to share soon......

Have a nice day won't you....

Sunday 25 November 2007

Wow! Wow! Wow!

Yes.... can I say it again.... WOW!!!!!!!

But what.... you say....

heeheeheehee... I can share with you all cause I know you'll understand my excitement, whereas my dh just doesn't understand....

I've been accepted onto the Design Team for Scrapbooking 4 Less.... wow!!!!

How totally awesome is that...

Thank you Shelley... I'm so looking forward to working with you and the other team members over the next 12 months....

WOW! WOW! WOW! WOW! WOW!....

Sunday 18 November 2007

Yah.....

Finally some scrapping happening here... lol... and no sorry... can't share... all secret santa stuff....But I do promise I will share when I'm allowed to.
But it's been fun.

And I also found time to rearrange my scrap room. Yes I'm anal about this and tend to do it every so often... as they say a change is as good as a holiday.
But now I have a bigger desk (I "borrowed" one of the tables we took camping) so now I have a desk that is 1.8m long.... gotta love that!
And I also bought a tv shelf unit that holds my KNK and printer. Works a treat actually.
So here is a collage of pics of my room... my space...

But other than that...not much else has been happening.
The votes came in for the Student Council elections for Nicholas's school and unfortunately he didn't get on the council.
BUT I am very proud of him for getting into the top 16 and for doing the best he could. It doesn't matter to me that he didn't get on the council... what matters to me most was that he tried. That was what made me very proud of him.

So life is back to normal now... Mum and Dad have headed off to Albany for a couple of days before heading off home. Sounds like they had an absolute ball and are already planning the next trip.
One day Danny and I might do that too... oh well....

back to reality tomorrow and back to work... hi ho hi ho off to work we go..... have a fun week won't you....

and don't forget to leave a comment... even just a hello!

Toni

Sunday 11 November 2007

Hello....

Yep... really snappy there aint I.... lol
Well my excuse is my mind isn't really there at the moment... I think it's daylight savings... yes you can keep it!... then again it could be because I have so very very much going on at the moment.

Mum and Dad are here at the moment. Got here on Friday and are here until Friday... they're on their way home after travelling for the last 8 months. Been lots of places, but as they said... there's a whole lot more out there in good ol Oz still to see....
So I've been relatively quiet catching up with them the last couple of days.

Also I've been doing a lot of DT work this week too... and sorry... no more sneak peeks... you'll just have to wait and see.... hahahahahaha... but I still have lots more to do though too....

and cause all the dt stuff I'm doing at the moment is related to Christmas... I discovered I don't have any Christmas photos left, so I set the kids up the other day and took their photos... lol

Just cause Jonathan wanted to play games... and Kristofer wanted to watch tv... but eventually I got some good ones...
oh, and in the process burnt dinner! oh dear me... lol

So what else... Kristofer and Jonathan asked Danny to take the training wheels off their bikes today and yes.... off they went... suddenly they're riding their bikes on two wheels... noooooooooooooooooooo... that's not allowed yet....
I think they're growing up too fast... especially when I got a note home from Nicholas' school at the beginning of the week letting us parents know that they were starting sex education....
hang on... but they're still little boys... they can't grow up this fast... hey... slow down a little down... please... just for this mum... I can't deal with this!

I think I need a drink.... or maybe chocolate! hmmm now that sounds better...

ok off to find the chocolate... take care... and don't forget to leave comment to be in the running for a Pay It Forward!
Toni.

Saturday 3 November 2007

Sneak Peek....

Because Christmas is only 52 ... yes you heard correctly... 52 days away Jenny over at RJR has given us permission to share sneak peeks of the ribbon she sent the DT this month....
And because it was so gorgeous I started playing before I took a photo of the ribbon so I have a sneak peek of one of the projects I've done....

So if you're looking for some ribbon to add a touch of class to your Christmas presents, for you Secret Santa or just to increase your stash... head on over to Really Just Ribbons.
And if you're lucky Jenny still has the American Craft Ribbon on special... I think I left some in the shop... lol.. and don't forget to check out her off the page items too... they're gorgeous!

So what else has been happening... I've been tagged....by the lovely Gayle S...
So here are 7 random facts about me...

1. I'm left handed.
2. I'm allergic to Penicillin.
3. I have never ever been out of WA (yes I've led a sheltered life!)
4. I've already booked into the Boxx retreat for next year woohoo!!!
5. I hate ironing with a passion... who would like to do mine??
6. I have a fear of spiders.... just those big huntsman things..... yuk!
7. I have a fear of meeting new people.... I'm so scared of making a fool of myself!

so now I have to tag 7 people.... ummmm.. ok... I'm going to cheat here... if you haven't been tagged yet... consider yourself tagged! :)

And also I won a Pay it Forward from the gorgeous Bec... so now it's my turn to Pay It Forward. If you leave a comment on my blog over the next 2 weeks I will put all the names in a hat (ok maybe a box...) and draw out 3 names to win something handmade from me, and then those 3 will have the opportunity to pay it forward to someone else. Now don't worry if you don't have a blog, you can always make a post on a forum and get 3 names from there to pay it forward.
This is a wonderful way of sharing the love!

Hope you all have a lovely day and feel better than I do (ruddy flu!)....
Luv 'n' hugs
Toni.

A share...

Well this weekend I took my own advice and just enjoyed my scrapping...

I spent Saturday at a TLC scrap day and we did 2 projects... a double layout called Girlfriends (which I still have to find photos for.. lol) and a wall hanging which I also have to find photos for... lol
I think this is a problem of not having girls. But I will find something... lol

There were also a couple of cc's on this weekend... S4L held one and so did Scrapworld.
I've only managed to do the challenges from S4L, but I did enjoy them.

Here's the first... a sketch and had to use blue...

And the second challenge was a single lo...

And here was the third challenge... a double.

I enjoy doing the challenges for a cc as I tend to always use older photos that I haven't had the inspiration to scrap up until then. It doesn't matter to me if I win a challenge or not, I have another page or 2 for the boys albums and that's more important.

I also managed to get the calendar for my fil finished along with some photo cards for my parents and fil for christmas. So that's pretty much the presents I was making done now. I have to get the kids pressies and buy some others, but christmas isn't going to be a big stress for me this year.

So now I'm getting the covers done for a digi album I've done... will share that another time and I'm waiting for the pack to show from Jenny with lots of christmas goodies in it. If you're thinking of getting some christmas ribbon, go check out RJR... there's some gorgeous ribbons there and I can't wait to play with them when Aussie Post show...

So have yourselves a great week and let's hope the weather fines up everywhere...

Enough is enough!

When is enough enough?
Those of you who know me well know that I will always stand beside my family and friends no matter what. Through thick and thin I hope I will always there.

And some of you have heard about a new aussie scrap smack blog. This blog was started with, I believe, the best of intentions. As a place to voice criticisms and legitimate complaints.

But....
it has degenerated into a free-for-all. Anyone and everyone is fair game for abuse, criticism, innuendo and rumour, whether true or not. These comments are being posted by people hiding behind Anon.
I do not believe that this was the original intention of this blog, but if it was, then shame on you.

This blog needs to either stop these anonymous comments and come out of hiding, and run it as a place to voice genuine comments or criticism, or close this blog down completely. It should no longer be a place for people to post anonymous slanderous comments in a free-for-all.

You can flag this blog as "Containing defamatory Content" or you can go here to this site and report them with a Terms of Service violation.... http://help.blogger.com/?page=contact.
The name of the blog is aussiescrapsmack.blogspot.com

Some will say I shouldn't advertise this blog, and I agree with them. But I will NOT stand by and see my friends slammed for absolutely no reason but being the people that they are. No one person is 100% good or 100% bad. We are all human with human frailties! Can you say that you are perfect? I know I can't!

I will more than likely be bagged for this, but to tell you the truth I DON'T CARE! This blog has hurt and upset some very lovely people who have had nothing to do with any of this.

I believe the scrapbooking community is a lot better than than what this blog has become. Sure I don't like people, but that is my personal opinion and not a reason to start posting nasty comments about them.

We, as a group, are more than this. I think it's time to let these people know that we are all above this type of thing.

All I ask of you is.....

PLEASE REMEMBER WHY YOU STARTED SCRAPBOOKING!

I'm sure it was not for accolades, to win competitions or to be published in a magazine.

Most of us who scrapbook started this wonderful hobby as a way to remember the stories of our children so we could share them with them when they were older, to share them with other family members and with our friends.

This is why we scrapbook. It is not about anything else....

Before you post a nasty comment, think of what type of example are you setting for those beautiful children of yours that you are scrapbooking.

What legacy would you like to leave them?

Monday 22 October 2007

uh oh... I've been slack!

But I have been one busy little vegemite!
It was back to work last Tuesday and yeh... nothing's changed there! But isn't that why I work there there... well that's what I tell myself lol....

And then I had to get all the entries done and ready for the show and drop them off and then we had the show on Friday and Saturday. Nicholas did really well... got a second with one of his photos, so was really proud of him and Kristofer and Jonathan got merit certificates for their lego.
I was happy... I got 3 firsts, 3 seconds and a third in the scrapbooking section and also won most points. I also got a first in the animal section in the photography so was really happy with that.
So overall we did really really well, and with vouchers and prize money the show nearly paid for itself.

and..................... best news of all.........................
MY NEW TOY SHOWED UP.... woohoo.....
I got a Klic-n-Kut Elements...
Oh it's just wonderful! and I've spent the rest of the week learning how to use it.... it cuts cardstock, chipboard and everything!
Take a look at this....

I cut all of this with the klic-n-kut... chipboard and all... isn't it just so gorgeous... and so very easy to do....

And then on the weekend SNC had a cybercrop on so I was busy with that too... definately more than enough to keep me out of trouble... lol
So here are a couple of the layouts I did for that

I love this pic of Jonathan taken in Port Denison.... and the flourish on the right hand of the layout has been cut on the KNK....

and this one, which is going in the zoo album. The title was cut on the KNK in one piece. Took me 5 minutes... would have taken me about 3-4 hours by hand.

and then here's this last one I will upload tonight...

These holiday units are so cute... taken in Port Denison. This title was cut on the KNK too...

So have yourselves a great week and hopefully I won't be too busy to post again soon with more layouts from the SNC cc...

Just a quick one

Here's just a quick post.
Just thought I would upload my latest creations for Jenny over at RJR.

Last month Jenny sent us some Kaiser Bling, Bella flowers and Bella Ribbon.
If you're looking for bling, flowers or ribbon I suggest you go and look at RJR because Jenny has some great bargains there.

So here's my layouts....

I love this photo of Kristofer and Jonathan... and here's some detail from the layout.

Jenny sent us white flowers and for this layout I stamped on the flower to tie it in with the blue.

And here is a card I did as well.

I hope you have a wonderful week.... for me, it's back to work tomorrow... bummer hey... but I guess I have to work to support my scrapping habit.
Catch you all later.
Toni

Thursday 11 October 2007

Guess what we've now got.....

Yes.... a brand spanking new TOYOTA LANDCRUISER!!!!

Isn't it just beautiful... and it's mine... all mine...lol.
DH has agreed for me to drive it and he will now take over my little Hyundai to drive around in. He doesn't want the Cruiser down the Port which I can totally understand...
So I have a brand new BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG car to drive.... did I tell you it's BIIIIIIIIIIIG........... LOL

Now we just need the bullbar for it that they sold to someone else and now can't get a replacement in Australia... how bad is that!
Danny was far from happy about it!

Oh well... back to the mundane now and a couple of layouts I did this week.
This first one is of the boys with their BIG cousin Carl... and I mean BIG! Carl is over 6 foot and has nearly always towered over me... We're going to take him off at the knees one day... lol

And this next one is for the fortnightly challenge over at SNC. Is of when I played hockey (yeh ok... 16 years ago!)and we won the premiership... we were good! lol

So that's about it. I have another That's Life layout to upload but will do later and also my layouts from the last RJR design team pack. If you want to see head on over to the RJR blog to look see...

And by the way... I have a new pressie coming soon.... I will let you know when it gets here.... how exciting......

Take care now won't you!

Sunday 7 October 2007

I'm back.....

Well it's been a very relaxing week in Port Denison. Didn't do much beside walk along the beach, watch the kids swimming, took them fishing, watched the sun set with a drink in hand and slept every night in an airbed that kept going down... lol

Hey but the bed only ever went down half way... can you understand that? We couldn't!
But with Danny on one side of the bed and me on the other, I kept rolling down the hill cause he is heavier than me and always sunk lower in the bed... don't tell him I said that will you... lol
But after the last night I told him I was never ever ever ever sleeping on an air mattress ever ever ever again! Got that?!

But I took photos... lots and lots of photos....about 6-800... I think!
So here are a couple...

Jonathan who came to help me take photos of the sunset from the hill above our camp.

This was a sea eagle I was lucky enough to catch when I was taking photos of the sunset. He had just caught the fishing hanging from his talons. The photo isn't 100% clear but I was still lucky enough to get a photo.

And here is Nicholas with the second fish he caught... a baby pink snapper. He also caught a brim. Both were let go. Kristofer and Jonathan only got bites and weren't lucky enough to catch a fish. Maybe next time.

The boys loved exploring the rocks right up to shore in the harbour. They also swam here as it was shallow and very safe.

And what a way to finish.... such a glorious sunset!

So now we're home and I have a mountain of washing to do... and I've started spring cleaning. I've done Kristofer and Jonathan's room and their wardrobe with the new mesh cubes in there to keep it clean. Looks really nice, but I wonder how long it will last.

So I'm off to do some scrapping cause I haven't done any for 2 weeks now....
Have yourself a glorious week and I will update again later...

Wednesday 26 September 2007

We're all going....

... on a summer holiday.... yeh ok... it's spring not summer....

no more working for a week or two.... after today....WOOHOO!!!!!

and I can't remember the rest of the song... lol

So take it easy... relax and enjoy life cause that's what I'm gunna do....

see you in a couple of weeks.....

Toni

Sunday 23 September 2007

Yeh I'm slack...

but you get that.... but yes I have been one busy little vegemite.... honest!

Getting everything ready and packed for our holiday, work, home and all the general other things has meant that I have barely stopped. But I guess that's life.

I have managed to get some scrapping done... not much but some. I've started the journal for the lessons/challenges from Nic Howard's new book, so thought I would share that.

I've had this 7 Gypsies gate fold album here for about 2 years now and have finally found a use for it.

This is the cover. Kept it simple and it does look good irl...

And I've done 2 pages in it.

Nic's first lesson/challenge was to record the daily conversations around us and then scrap them. This one is about Kristofer's comments when he opened the card from his Nanna and Grandad for his birthday... 20 bucks....

I have a few more conversations to scrap too.... lol .... so watch out for them!

This is the 2nd lesson from the book. Scrap a daily routine... something that will probably change in the future.
So I scrapped something new in the house and that is The Bead System we've started with the boys.
Even though I've copped a bit of shit over it from people... commenting on how that's what the Indians got, etc, etc... it has actually worked a treat with the boys.
Suddenly I've gone from screaming and yelling every day to get the kids to sleep, or cleaning up their rooms, or even drying the dishes... to boys who are helping out at the drop of a hat, dry the dishes, go to sleep when they go to bed, are no longer arguing, etc, etc.
Ok... so it's probably not for everyone... but it has worked miracles in this house. Not even Danny can believe how well it's worked.
But here is the page.

And this one opens which explains the rules of the beads and how we started and what caused me to start it and the effect it's had.

Oh, how's this for cute... Just tucked the boys into bed, and Jonathan has tied a rope around Digby (his toy dog) and then looped it over a clamp Danny has holding the glue on the door together, and he said....
"There's a reason I've done that. In the middle of the night Digby gets scared of the dark and runs away and I can't find him. So I've tied him up.... "
Poor Digby. I will take a photo once the kids have gone to sleep. lol
Have to remember this one for the journal!

Went to the Scrap n Chat this arvo... got 4 layouts done which I'm really really happy with. Won't upload today because I still have the journalling to do on some of them.
It really is great to do nothing but sit and scrap for 4 hours with the girls.
No interruptions ... no Muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.............
So thanks girls for the fun....

That's about it from me today. Have yourselves a great week and if I don't post again before I go on Holidays... think of me won't you... working hard relaxing on the beach doing nothing... lol.....
honest... cause that's what I'll be doing....

And don't forget to look for those magic moments... cause honest... they're there!

Sunday 16 September 2007

A Happy Place

I've found my happy place...
I've just realised this over the last few days. There's very little stress on me at the moment and it's all good.
Since we started the bead system with the kids they have been really good. They help to clean up and do little jobs around the house, they go to bed without playing up and we've had very few arguments over things. It's all good.

And after the refinancing, all the bills are paid, and we're actually full up-to-date with everything and planning a week's holiday in Port Denison. The first real holiday we've had for over 12 years.

So yeh... it's all good.

And I got totally spoilt for my birthday.

This arrived the day before my birthday from the gorgeous Bec... thank you so very much... I am so totally in awe of your present....

Isn't it just beautiful... thank you thank you thank you Bec mwah... mwah...mwah....

And my darling husband bought me this for my birthday... my very own MP3 player... and it's pink! woohoo

So I've spent all day uploading my songs to it. So far I'm up to 42 albums and it's not even half full... maybe I should've got the 30 gig one not the 4 gig one... lol
Gawd... what would I do with 30 gig if I can't fill 4! I only have about another 15 albums to go on to it so I'll have plenty of room left over.

So what else has been happening....

Tess came over yesterday afternoon and we scrapped... was absolutely great fun and we have to do it again! And Tess spoilt me for my birthday too... she gave me a lolly bag... yum yum and a bag full of ribbon... yum yum... she knows my weakness! lol

I worked on a kit from Maria for a bag. Gave me a few headaches I can tell you, but I love the way it came out.
Here's the result.

And today I've been working on the lessons from the Nic Howard book. I will upload them another time. I shouted myself the book for my birthday... lol bad aren't I.

So that's really about it for me today. Lots to do still... more cd's to upload and there's a cj sitting on my desk which I have to do before we go away.

So don't forget to look for the magic moment in your day tomorrow...

Thursday 13 September 2007

Happy birthday Kristofer

Yes, it's birthday time again...
Kristofer is now 7... the time that he and Jonathan are the same age each year is over with.... 3 weeks... oh well.

But it was a very quiet day for all of us.... Kristofer was really happy with his present.... he got a Cars tracksuit and pyjamas, the same as Jonathan. Now they'll really look like twins. And he got 2 workbooks for school on readying and phonics, a notebook I decorated for him and he got a Spiderman which in his words was cooooool.... he also got a hat I found for him... and on that was "I didn't do it!"... yes Kristofer all over.
And his favourite present... $20 bucks from Nanna... wow... 20 bucks... he said... lol

So here's the photo share... just 2 but...

But I think what he really need for his birthday was his 2 front teeth!

So that's about it here in this neck of the woods... so that's the end of the birthday's in here for another year. Next one is June for Nicholas'....

I haven't done much scrapping this week, I've been playing around baking cakes.

Oh and Happy Birthday to Jenny's little boy today.. I can't remember how hold he is but I hope he had a great day too Jenny.

So have yourselves a wonderful weekend won't you.

oh... and if you want to know why we haven't had celebrated my birthday this year...well I don't have one any more.... not since Kristofer inherited it from me 7 years ago today....lol......
so I am forever 32!

Sunday 9 September 2007

Toothless and a fleabitten rabbit

"But Mum I'm not fleabitten" says Jonathan "I'm just a rabbit!"
But that's what he looks like after he decided to cut his own hair... lol
What do you think? Oh and the back looks the same as front.... and I have no idea how he managed to get enough hair in the scissors to actually cut it...

And rabbit? He's always been called rabbit... right from when he was a newborn baby because he always looked like a skinned rabbit, skinny with big sad eyes.. lol

And Kristofer... our toothless one... lol... who lost his other front tooth at school and he doesn't even know when or where...
But I do love this photo...

And not to be outdone.. here's Nicholas on the hockey field... run mate!

But it's not a very good photo because he was on the other side of the paddock...
I still have to take his photo with his trophy.

So that's my photo share... and here's a layout to share...
This is my one for the Scrap n Crazy BOM challenge this month... What's crazy about us of course...

Thanks for looking.... have a great week won't you.

Tagged...

Yes I got tagged by Jenni and have been a bit slack in getting it done.
So here we go....

1-Post these rules.

2-Each person tagged must post 8 random (... hopefully interesting) facts about themselves.

3-Taggees should write a blogpost of these facts.

4- At the end of the post 8 more bloggers are tagged and named and released back into the wild.

5-Go to their blog and leave a comment telling them they're tagged*.So here are my 8 random things:

1. I'm left handed. Not a lot of people probably have realised this, and those online would have no idea... lol

2. I was born on Black Friday... September 13... so I guess that combined with being left handed would probably have lead me to be called a witch a couple of hundred years ago... any takers?

3. I have a typing speed of over 100wpm... The last typing test I did was about 10 years ago and that was 95wpm and 98% accuracy, and with the amount of typing I do my guess would be it's much faster than that now.

4. I'm a clean freak... I hate clutter and mess... it annoys the bejeezers out of me. Even now on my desk there's not much on there even though I'm in the middle of a layout. I have to put things away as soon as I've finished with them.

5. I can't be late... it's impossible for me, I freak out. Yeh weird I know... lol

Ok... now I have to tag 8 more people, but I don't know who.... tell you what... if you're reading this and you have a blog... consider yourself tagged... lol... deal?

So what else has been going on. Lots of layouts, but all secret squirrel stuff for RJR... so sorry I can't share.
I'm trying to do my BOM layout for SNC and then there's one for the Boxx. And there's another couple more challenges to do for various places. And because we're going away in 3 weeks I need to get it all done. Nothing like a bit of pressure hey?

And we're very proud of Nicholas today. He played his last game of hockey for the season today and then they had presentations. It was a very cold and very very wet game. Poor kids.
And why are we proud of Nicholas.....well he got the Coaches Award. Second year running, so we're very proud of him. He really is a good hockey player.

And that's really about it. But next time I will share a couple of photos... Jonathan's new haircut.... and Kristofer's toothless grin.
I won't tonight because I haven't downloaded the camera yet.

But I can share a layout.... This is one of the layouts I've done for the Spring Challenge over at Scrap World. I have another layout to do and a card.

Thanks for looking...

And don't forget the little things in life will you.
Toni

Thursday 30 August 2007

Slack aren't I?

Well it's been a busy week... honest! Would I lie to you... lol

We had the settlement for the refinancing finally went through.. and that was a drama. But hopefully nearly all of it's been sorted out.. I hope. Still one little hiccup that needs to be sorted out, but after that, it's all done. We've finally condensed everything into a single house loan, all the bills are up to date and for the first time in our lives we have some breathing space and money in the bank. woohoo!

And last weekend I did a cc over at a forum I just found called Scrap World. A lot of fun... felt a bit guilty as I won one of the giveaways almost as soon as I walked in the door. lol bad girl I am. But it was a lot of fun.
And I finally got out and did the gardening. Well the vegie garden at the least was weeded even though we're not going to plant it out until we come back from our holiday in Port Denison in October. I needed to get the weeds under control.

So what else...
Karen has won the position on the SNC DT, so finally I can share all my creations with you. Congratulations Karen, your layouts were gorgeous as were all of them.
Would have liked to be there, but then, now I can still enter all the challenges lol...

So here are my layouts...

now if I mix them up don't blame me...

This was the week 1.... a colour scheme... brown pink and red I think it was...

This one was week 2... the sketch challenge. This one is for the zoo album I'm doing.

Here's week 3... texture. The whole background is a piece of material I had here. Love this one, and I love the photo.

Do you love my monogram? I do... was nothing like I was originally going to do but I so love the way it worked out. This was week 4.

And this is my layout for week 5. I really love this layout, I love the photo (and no I can't take credit for it, Dave Green took the photo), and I love the quote.

This is the one I might just frame to remind me to have the courage to chase my dreams. Something I tend to forget. And even though I never got any further than this I was absolutely chuffed to have got this far.
Now I have the courage to chase my dreams! This girl now has confidence so ya'd better watch out! lol
well as long as the pmt aint hangin' round that is.... blasted pmt!

But right now I'm in a happy place and it's time to seriously start working on that pmt thing.... anyone got any ideas????

Anyway, time to get back to my layout sitting on my desk, considering I haven't done much scrapping this week.

Catch you all later, have yourselves a wonderful weekend and don't forget to leave a comment cause I love reading what you all have to say.
Toni.
