Merry Christmas!

Ok... I'm a tad late, but things have been fairly hectic here...
I was going to post this a week ago, but time got away from me. We had a busy lead up to Christmas.
Nicholas had his Year 7 graduation, and he won 2 awards... maths award and the science award! We are so very proud of him... he worked hard and it showed! But OMG... he goes to high school next year.... when did this happen??????
Excuse me for a moment while I go sit in the corner and suck my thumb in denial....

ok....

so what else... well mum and dad were down for Christmas, but we still had barbecues left right and centre... lol but at least Christmas day itself was reasonably quiet, and the boys got totally and utterly spoilt!!

On the scrapping front not much has been happening what with Christmas and everything else.
I did get a new album done for my desktop... I used a Kaiser Craft wooden calendar, but just did small layouts on them... 7x7... and used photos I've already scrapped or variations of them.
So here are the pages....

Some of these pics aren't very good but I still love the way it's turned out!

So enjoy your New Year.... may you have all the blessings you need!

Back to work...

lol... after the fun of the last week and the Masters, I guess it's time to get back to work.
I haven't posted in a little while now and can't remember the last layout share I did....
But I know you haven't seen these layouts yet... so here you go...

I especially love the Lest We Forget layout... it's of Jonathan on Anzac Day 2008 when we went to Perth. He stood to attention the whole time...

So what else... Christmas is just around the corner and thankfully all my shopping is done. Just have to pick up a layby, but that's no hassle....
Mum and Dad are coming down, but that's all so it'll be a lovely quiet Christmas for us... woohoo!!!!

And this week is the last week of school for the boys. The last 4 days of primary school for Nicholas... he has his graduation tomorrow night.. OMG... I'm not ready to be the mother of a teenager... one in high school... hang on... where have the last 12 years gone...
Ok.. I'm going to go sit in the corner and cry for a little bit... what happened to my baby????

Time to let the cat out of the bag...

The masters were all announced yesterday and to my surprise my name was on the list...

Suddenly I'm famous and there have been lots of hits to my blog....

But there's bad news...

Sorry girls.... it ain't me....lol.... nope most definately not! It's the OTHER Toni Crane, in Queensland....
I never even entered... I have more than enough to do without being a master!

It's been good for a laugh... but seriously I would like to congratulate everyone who even had the courage to enter!

Me... I'm going to continue plodding along the way I am at the moment, enjoying my scrapping and having fun! What more can I ask for....

I've been tagged...

Yep... I've been tagged by the lovely Lisa...
You can check out her blog here... http://mum2mh.blogspot.com/

But here we go...

The Rules:
1. Link to the person who tagged you
2. Post the rules on your blog.
3. List 6 random things about yourself.
4. Tag 6 people at the end of your post.
5. Let each person know they have been tagged and leave a comment on their blog.

So, here are the 6 random things about me:
1. I love fantasy stories... especially about magic and dragons.
2. I'm left handed!
3. I love roses.
4. I hate spiders... eeeewwwwwww.....they make me cringe!
5. I've had carpel tunnel operations in both hands
6. I bake sponges and pavlova's but I don't eat them... yuck!

Ok... now I have to tag 6 people... what??? 6!!!!! you have to be joking...
I'm not very good at this... so if you're reading this blog consider yourself tagged!!!! lol

So... onto more mundane things...
Not much has happened this week.. done some scrapping and started a class with Jessica Sprague... stories in hand.
I have a little catching up to do... I've done all the printouts and done up a tin, but I need to start the stories... oh well!
But here is the tin I've done!

And I've done some scrapping today... some simple layouts for the holiday album, and one for the sketch challenge and bingo challenge over at S4L... go check them out!
But here are the layouts...

The time layout is the one for bingo and the sketch...

And other than that, I've been working on Christmas presents... I've made up some chocolate jars and some door hangers for the boys. Just have to seal those but have to wait for the boys to go to bed! Hear that... go to bed Nicholas!!!
And we've ordered their christmas presents, so that's it... we're pretty much all done!
Now just to find out who will be here for Christmas...

Sunday 9 November 2008

It's been a scrappy weekend...

Well sort of... lol
I've had a quiet weekend, doing up both Nicholas' and Kristofer's skull albums.
Finally I heard them say! But now they're done.
Kristofer has lots of pics... I think he's a natural pirate that one...
But Nicholas has only plain pages in his. I think he might just use it for an autograph book for his friends to sign when they finish primary school in just a few weeks.
But here are the pics.
Nicholas' is the black one... they're covered in Tim Holtz crackle paint... love the effect you get with that, especially when you ink the cracks, comes up a treat!

I've done some other scrapping...
Was challenged to do a girly layout over at S4L, but I didn't have any girly photos so I begged one from Shelley, who sent me some absolutely gorgeous photos, and I chose this one of Lillie to scrap.
Love the way this layout has turned out....

And I've done another couple of layouts, but still haven't photographed them yet, so I guess you will just have to wait.
Not much happening in other news either....
Danny and I celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary this week... I can't believe it has been 15 years since we got married... time really does fly doesn't it!

So that's about it... I'm off to do some research in family history!
So have yourselves a wonderful week!

Christmas is coming...

Mind you... if my lot don't start to behave themselves Santa won't be making a trip here!!!!!!!!!
They've been little brats all day... so over it!!

Anyway, onto other things...
I've been busy making things for Christmas....
Last weekend I did a calendar class with Beccy over at S4L... love the way it's turned out, just perfect for Mum for Christmas...

Isn't it just awesome!!!
And I've also made a clock for my FIL for Christmas too...

And don't worry... I know it's safe to put these up cause they don't go on the net...

So what else has been happening...
Yep back at work!! enough said...
And I've been working on lots of DT stuff for Shelley at S4L... but I think I will share that next time...

Ok, I'm off to do some more scrapping... take care!

Monday 13 October 2008

It's good to be home!

It's great to get away, but it's good to get home too!

So you guessed it... we're home!!!! and we all had an absolute ball.
I had very little computer time, just spent my time sight seeing and relaxing and enjoying life.
The boys got to see sharks and dolphins and turtles and sea snakes and majestic scenery and help at Uncle Gavin's farm, and walk miles and miles and swim and play on the beach until all hours and generally have a great time!
It really was fabulous.

So now I've finally sorted out a few photos from the hundreds I took to share...

So here are some pics of Kalbarri...
The first is a sunset over the river mouth... gotta have a sunset!!!!

And here is some of the coastline... we didn't get to the gorges this time, hopefully next time when the kids are older...

And we spent the day at Uncle Gavin's farm working the sheep with Uncle Gavin and Grandad...

From Kalbarri we went up to Denham in Shark Bay...
The boys loved the dolphins in Monkey Mia, especially the 5 week old baby. The dolphins were such posers!

We also went to Peron Homestead, and the boys spent time in the hot tub fed from the bore. The water is hot all the time naturally.

And we also went to the Ocean Park where the boys saw the sharks and turtles and a heap of other fish...

And there was the beauty of Shell Beach. Yes the whole beach is shells... no sand, just shells....deep and very wide!

And of course to finish with.... the Denham Sunset!!! This was from the beach opposite to where we were camped... well really we were camped ON the beach nearly!

So when are you going to visit!!!
There was so much more we didn't get time to see....
