I've been hangin' out....

for these little babies... the Kaiser Craft Storage Drawers.

I finally got my hands on some last Thursday so of course I had to put everything else aside and work on these babies...
They will be used to store all my loose alphas which is why I got 3 of them... but then decided I think I also need one to store my numbers... or maybe I will use them for my loose chipboard pieces... oh the decisions....

They're still not finished but I just have to add the letters to the front of the boxes.. well after i've painted them at any rate...

When the boys were told to clean up their room this is what I came home too...
They had packed everything up all ready to start moving into their own rooms... just because that's not happening until next weekend really is beside the point isn't it!

My studio...

Tonight I thought I would share my little space with you all. I've spent so much time looking at everyone else's scrap spaces all over the internet, and thought it was definately time for me to share mine.

My space is in a section in our lounge room. It was formerly the dining room but it was too small to fit the table comfortably, so I took it over. It's a great little space as I can watch tv, spend time with the kids, and generally be in the centre of the household.

DH built this shelf unit for the window. The window doesn't really look out on anything but the garage, so I decided to add some interest and more storage with the shelves. I still get light coming in, but the bonus is the storage and display.

This is the storage for my loose flowers, buttons and chipboard pieces. It's great to see exactly what I have and makes such a pretty display.

My clip-it-up... don't we all have one of them?

This is my cutting desk that dh made me. This holds my 8.5x11 albums, my idea books and also on the top shelves are my boxes of photos.

This is the set of shelves dh made me to hold my supplies.

The coloured tubs hold all of my alphas and some of my chipboard. I still need to work on the storage for these but.

My ink and stamp storage. I love this idea as I can immediately pick out exactly what stamp or ink colour I want without have to dig through a basket. And it also doens't take up a lot of space...

My ribbon and embellishment storage...

No don't look too closely... these are all my blank mini albums and otp stuff... no just don't go there...lol

I hope you enjoyed my little tour. It's still very much a work in progress as I like to change things around regularly.
Let me know what you think and if you have any wonderful ideas for storage... I'm always on the lookout for great storage ideas!

I did take this pic on Sunday... just didn't upload it that's all...
and if you haven't guessed it, it's a pic of my little ol' scrap space... all clean and tidy...

Oh Baby!

lol... here are the last layouts I've done this weekend using the Basic Grey Oh Baby range I've had here.
I feel good as I've used all the paper I had here and I have only scraps left which I will use on other layouts or cards.
It feels good knowing I've used something I've had here for a while.
Well everything on the layouts I've done have used things I've had here for a while... lol

And in case you haven't noticed there's a new link in my sidebar for another blog. This is one of mine (just in case you didn't think I had enough to do...lol) I've started taking a photo a day... sort of like the 365 days project we all started last year, but I'm just taking a pic and uploading it here. Just a small record of the year really...
Go take a look if you like...

January 16

Today I took a pic of my book. What a silly pic to take, but hey for me I spent the afternoon quietly reading... it was so nice and relaxing and something I don't get a chance to do very often so it really was lovely!

I didn't forget...

Told ya I wouldn't forget....

I'm finally back with a couple of layouts. This year I've started to challenge myself to start using some of my stash, so each week I will choose something from my stash that's been sitting there for absolutely ages and actually use it.

This week I've pulled out the Basic Grey Oh Baby range of pattern paper that I've had since it first came out...

Here are the first 2 layouts and if I'm lucky I will get another couple done too...

And it's been a sad week this week with my really good friend Kate leaving town heading home to Tassie... we will miss you so much Kate, Paul and girlies .... whatever will we do....
Drive safe won't you!

the first pics

Here are the first of my pics... just for you...lol

Tuesday January 12

These are the apricots that my fil dropped round for us.... oh yum yum... I love apricots...

Wednesday January 13

Here are the 400+ photos I picked up today... 90% of them are from Carnarvon. I think I might have some scrapping ahead of me...lol
But at least I'm all up to date on print out photos.

Thursday January 14

This is a sad photo and I couldn't let this day go by without a mention. One of my bestest friends ever is heading home back to Tassie. It's been a wonderful 2 years and I will miss her terribly. :(

Friday January 15

It's been a busy day today. I took the day off work (one of my days owed) and packed the girls stuff all ready for it to be picked up in a couple of weeks. I can't believe they had so much.

Tuesday 12 January 2010

A new blog...

As if I don't have enough to do, I've decided to start a new blog and add a photo a day... ok... I could be slack here and only post once a week, but I will take a photo a day just so I've got a snapshot of our year...
It might not be anything fancy, but hey... if I can keep it up it'll be great!

So drop by every so often, and view a snapshot of my life....

New...

Yes... it's a new year, so I've decided it's time for some changes.
By the end of last year I had found that I had lost myself, so I decided that this year I would get myself back on track.
Last year was really a very big year for us as a family and especially for dh and I as parents. It was a major rollercoaster ride for us all, but we managed to all survive and I think we've all come out at the end of it much stronger and better people, with the confidence to know who we are.

So this year I'm going to get myself back on track and also my scrapping. So I've decided to give my blog a new look, but watch out... there could be more changes as I work through the year.
One thing that's not going to change is sharing my scrapping. I love to share the projects I do and I hope you all enjoy them.

But unfortunately there's no scrapping shares today. I've spent the new year reorganising my scrapping space and my stash to help encourage me to use everything I already have. I really need to curb my spending habits... lol... but don't we all.

So I hope you've all had a great start to the New Year and lets all hope this year is the beginning of bright new opportunities for us all!
