The end is near...

This week see's my last week of projects for Kaisercraft!
Can I ask where the last 12 months ago as it seems like it was just yesterday I received my first box of goodies to start creating....????

But I'm here to start sharing with you my final projects, so today it's the layouts.

First up we've got The LakeHouse ... what a gorgeous range of papers!!!!

All soft pinks, purples, greys and blacks with a touch of blue!

This is a photo that I scanned from my Grandmother's collection of photos after she passed away. My aunty had sent it to her and my grandfather back in 1979, so rather than photoshop the message off the photo I've left it there. It's a permanent record of not only the date, but also who the photo is off, and who it was sent to, and also a sample of my aunt's handwriting.




And this month Kaisercraft have also released a gorgeous travel collection called Check In.
Perfect for travel photos, especially European tours, but as I don't have any of those type's of photos I've used the bright colours for this photo of Jonathan...

It is actually one of my favourite photos of Jonathan, taken when I got my first Panasonic Lumix camera!

Just because this range is geared towards travel photos, it doesn't mean that's what you have to use them for.
I mean Life is a Journey isn't it!

And that's what this last 12 months has most definately been.....

Introducing Magnolia Grove...

This really is a beautiful range from Kaisercraft. It has to be one of my favourites!!!
If you're looking at doing heritage layouts then this is a must!

Of course I have a full selection of heritage photos, but how could I pass up using this photo. The colours perfectly matched the papers!

 Yes it is a photo of my mother!!!



It also lends itself to beautiful cards...

I tried my hand at a tri-fold Lattic card.



And for my off-the-page project I created an tabbed album for my stamps. It won't actually hold my stamps but an index for them to make it easier to find the stamp I want for my project.

I created the little bird on the cover with air-drying clay using one of the silicon moulds I got from Moulds from Mel. She has some great moulds for a great price so check her out at MouldsbyMel.blogspot.com

I actually really do love this album, and the beauty of it is I can repurpose it into a heritage album if I like.
Gotta love those dual use creations!!!



On a sad note, tonight I completed my final project for Kaisercraft, though you won't see it for 5 or 6 weeks. I only have the computer work to do and I'm all finished.

I'm a bad blogger... in my defense... I've had lots going on!

But I'm here to share my projects for this month with the new Kaiser releases Rock Pool and Magnolia Grove.
Today I'm going share my Rock Pool projects.
This is a really fun range full of lots of cuteness, great for beach shots!!!

So my layout...

These photos were taken up in Denham a few years ago.

The papers are great for photos like this!

And my card... well in this case, I made some Pool Party invites....

It's a great range for something like that!



And my off-the-page!
I stripped off an old canvas from it's frame and then used the frame to create a 3D picture using the collectables. It was actually quite easy to create with foam layer tape.

 Add some "googly eyes" to the creatures and it's a great fun piece of art!!!!

The little Tim Holtz Configurations boxes make great shadow boxes. And are the colours just gorgeous!!!!

Now when the world slows a little I will take pics of what I did at retreat... might be a couple of weeks yet life doesn't look like it's slowing any time in the near future!

It's Fine & Sunny...

Of course it is... and that's the name of the new range for Kaisercraft this month.

It's a really bright and funky range perfect for a lot of different projects...

We had an absolute ball yet again!
Thanks Karen for a wonderful weekend. It was great to catch up with everyone again and this time I was more relaxed I think teaching.
Last time was the first time I had ever taught a class and it was an experience, but this time I knew what to expect and was more relaxed.

I taught 2 classes over the weekend.
The first was this heritage layout using the gorgeous These Days papers...



And yes it is very similar to the layout I did for Kaisercraft the other month. But it works well either way I think and are 2 wonderful samples.

The other class I taught was 2 versions of the same layout...
One using Kaisercraft Technologic and the other Tiger Lily.
I didn't get to play with the ranges for Kaisercraft as I was doing projects using Great Southern Land, so it was good to get a chance to play.





It's a very simple design, but very versatile with so many possibilities!

And the only complaint I had with my classes was using the Tiny Alphas... I don't know what the problem was personally... I love those letters!!!!

Anyway I have heaps more to share, just need to take some photos.... until then have fun!
