Cherish

It's Mum and Dad's 50th wedding anniversary this year, so after racking my brains for weeks on what to get them, I decided to make this frame for them.
I've kept it in the creams, with gold highlights as it's a Golden Wedding Anniversary.
The photo is one of their wedding photos.
I did consider doing a frame with a family tree, with then and now, but decided to just keep it simple.

Now I just need to make a matching card....

Photo a Day

Yes, I've started this again this year. Last year I managed a full month, but this year I'm hoping for more!
I've downloaded the app onto my phone and fingers crossed it helps me to get taking photos!
So here are this week's photos...

I do know one thing... I need to keep better track of the date!

About me...

I've decided to use one of my Bo Bunny Misc Me albums for an album about me.
It's going to include stories about my past, who I am now and my dreams for the future. Really anything I feel like putting in it.
So over the weekend I've worked on the binder cover and this is the result...

Be patient for the pages as I will share as I do them!

I also have another one of these which is going to contain my year in review/planner/photo a day photos, and other bits from this year.
Fingers crossed I don't get swamped and discontinue it like I have managed every other year.
I will share once I take the photos!

Yes, I've been playing...

But do you like the new look?
Maybe if I can keep myself on track I might get some things done...
So in that spirit I'm here to share a layout I did last week, and also a money box I completed!

The layout is a review of 2014... just the main points of what ended up being a very busy year!
I pulled out a set of rubons that needed using to add detail around the photo.
I am trying to use up everything I have here on hand without buying anything new (yeh right she says... we won't mention the order from Dusty Attic will we?)

I also was inspired by a Birdhouse Moneybox that Mistra Hoolihan had made using the Kaisercraft range Sandy Toes collection last month and decided to do one of my own.

Though this was originally a birdhouse, I've covered up the hole to give it a beach house feel. It's the perfect spot to save the pennies for a summer holiday!
But more than that, it's given my the push I needed to start creating again... Thanks Mistra!

But I do love this range, being perfect for beach photos, which for some reason I have a lot of! And also with a holiday coming up in September to Streaky Bay, it'll be perfect for a holiday album that I'll only have to add journalling and photos too!

But with an almost free day today, I think it's time to get creating! Have fun...

And a New Year begins...

I didn't see the New Year in, but was up at 4am for work, so I headed down to the foreshore to see get a photo of the beginning of sun rising on first day in a new year.
I was hope for a spectacular photo of the sunrise but unfortunately there was misty rain around so this is the best I got. Even though I don't have the gorgeous colours of a sunrise, I do love the reflection on the wet pavement with the lights and the hint of the sun in the clouds. A good start really!

I guess with the start of the New Year, we're meant to have all of these New Year Resolutions like losing weight, exercising more, being a better person, blah blah blah... and really most of these are unrealistic, though the intentions are there. I don't think I've ever kept a New Year resolution for the full year and I've decided not to put pressure on myself to keep any either.
This year is about being happy with whatever I do and whatever the year brings.
Will I slow down... probably not! There's always something I want to do, and even more that needs to be done. I'll take those moments of quiet when I get them I guess and try to make the most of them!
I will probably look back on this post in 12 months and laugh... wondering what the hell I was thinking.
As someone said to me, As long as you wake up in the morning and can put one foot in front of the other it's looking good!
That sounds like a plan to me....

I hope everyone has a wonderful new year and it brings them all they hope and wish for.
